The Kyle Katarn Lightsaber captures the bold and functional design of one of the most legendary characters in the Star Wars Expanded Universe. With its clean silver hilt, dual red activation switches, and exposed inner mechanics near the emitter, this saber embodies the utilitarian approach of a Jedi who walks the line between the light and dark sides. The hilt’s lower section features black ribbed grip elements for added handling security, while the metallic construction ensures both durability and screen-accurate realism. Whether displayed on a stand or ignited in combat form, this saber makes an impressive tribute to the iconic Jedi-turned-Rebel hero.

Equipped with RGB-X electronics, this lightsaber is built for immersive combat and performance. The baselit blade emits from the emitter alone, making it ideal for heavy duelling thanks to its durability and lack of internal LEDs. It features 16 pre-installed sound fonts, smooth swing motion detection, flash-on-clash effects, and gesture-based controls. While already equipped with such great features, it also supports Bluetooth connectivity, allowing users to access settings more easily and upload extra sound fonts via the “XenoConfigurator” app on iOS and Android.

History

Kyle Katarn’s lightsaber became a symbol of resilience and inner conflict. Once an Imperial officer, Kyle turned against the Empire and later embraced the path of the Jedi, playing a pivotal role in the Dark Forces and Jedi Knight game series. His saber design is functional yet distinctive—crafted to withstand relentless conflict while reflecting his complex journey from mercenary to Force-wielder. The exposed emitter assembly mirrors Katarn’s practical, no-frills combat approach and his experience as both a soldier and Jedi.

Throughout his many missions, Katarn stood as a lone force of justice, often operating in grey areas of morality. His saber, forged in a time of chaos and rebellion, symbolised hope and resistance in a galaxy riddled with tyranny. Today, the Kyle Katarn Lightsaber is revered by fans not just for its role in extended lore, but as a legacy of strength, transformation, and unwavering defiance against oppression.

Frequently Asked Questions

What’s the difference between the lightsaber versions?

There are 5 main types of lightsaber electronics:

  • RGB-X & S-RGB – These sabers illuminate the blade from the hilt and are built for durability, making them ideal for heavy-duelling. They come with a Baselit blade, which has no LEDs inside and looks best in dark environments.
  • Xenopixel V3 & SNV4 PRO – These lightsabers use Neopixel blades, which contain LEDs throughout the blade for brighter and more vibrant effects. They are not designed for heavy-duelling, but offer advanced visual effects and customisation.
  • Proffie 2.2 – A highly customisable lightsaber that also comes with a Neopixel blade. It allows advanced users to modify sound fonts, blade effects, ignition styles, and more through open-source software, making it ideal for those who want full control over their lightsaber’s performance.
Can you duel with the lightsabers?
  • RGB-X & S-RGB sabers with Baselit blades are designed for heavy-duelling.
  • Xenopixel, SNV4 PRO, and Proffie 2.2 sabers with Neopixel blades are best suited for showcase and light-duelling but should not be used for intense combat.

For heavy-duelling, we recommend going with a thick neck saber so the blade is better supported and less likely to become wobbly or snap.

Are Saber 66 Lightsabers and helmets replicas?

No – our lightsabers and helmets are in no way intended to be replicas. Size, materials, colours and design details are all inspired by officially licensed sabers, but they are not replicas.

Do the lightsabers support Bluetooth connectivity?
  • RGB-X and Xenopixel V3 support Bluetooth connectivity via the “XenoConfigurator” app on iOS and Android.
  • S-RGB and SNV4 PRO support Bluetooth connectivity via the “ForcePark V2” app on iOS and Android.
  • Proffie 2.2 does not have built-in Bluetooth functionality.
Do you offer a warranty on lightsabers?

Yes, all lightsabers come with a 1-year warranty, covering manufacturing defects and electronic malfunctions. If you encounter any issues within this period, please contact our support team for assistance. The warranty does not cover damage caused by misuse, modifications, or improper charging.

Do you offer replacement parts?

Yes, replacement blades, chargers, and other accessories are available for purchase separately. If there is a more specific part that needs changing, please contact out support team for assistance.

How do I recharge my lightsaber?

All lightsabers come with a rechargeable lithium-ion battery and a USB charging cable. It is recommended to use the provided charger and follow the charging instructions in the manual to prevent damage.
