The Luke Skywalker EP4 Graflex Lightsaber is a faithful replica of the iconic weapon used in Star Wars: Episode IV – A New Hope. With its distinctive Graflex flashgun design, bubble strip activation plate, and classic clamp-style detailing, this hilt pays tribute to the original lightsaber that ignited the saga. The blend of metallic finishes, the functional grip section, and the red button detail all reflect the cinematic look and feel of the saber that was passed down from Anakin to Luke Skywalker.
Equipped with RGB-X electronics, this lightsaber offers an immersive duelling experience with a range of features. The baselit blade provides vibrant illumination with multiple colour options, though it is best suited for dark environments as its light comes solely from the emitter. Designed for heavy duelling, the durable construction ensures it can withstand intense combat. The saber includes 16 pre-installed sound fonts, smooth swing motion detection, flash-on-clash effects, and gesture-based controls. While already equipped with such great features, it also supports Bluetooth connectivity, allowing users to access settings more easily and upload extra sound fonts via the “XenoConfigurator” app on iOS and Android.
History
Originally crafted from a vintage Graflex camera flashgun, this saber became one of the most iconic weapons in film history. It was first introduced when Obi-Wan Kenobi handed it to Luke Skywalker, stating it once belonged to his father, Anakin Skywalker. That single moment not only marked the beginning of Luke’s journey as a Jedi but also became a defining point in the Star Wars narrative. The saber accompanied Luke through his earliest training, his first confrontation with Darth Vader, and the discovery of his own heritage. Its unique shape, distinct silhouette, and simple yet elegant construction became instantly recognizable to fans around the world.
Throughout the saga, the Graflex lightsaber symbolised lineage, growth, and legacy. It represented the passing of knowledge and the burdens of destiny across generations of Skywalkers. Even long after its original debut, the saber continued to play a crucial role in the evolving story of the Jedi. As a replica, the EP4 Graflex saber is more than just a collector’s item—it is a tribute to the birth of a legend and the timeless appeal of Star Wars mythology. Holding it in hand evokes the same sense of wonder Luke experienced when he first ignited it—a symbol of hope, courage, and the call to adventure.
