The Darth Vader EP5 Lightsaber is a faithful recreation of the Sith Lord’s iconic weapon as seen in Star Wars: Episode V – The Empire Strikes Back. Its signature design features a polished silver and black hilt with bold T-tracks, a detailed control box, and an emitter shroud that exudes pure intimidation. This saber captures the menace and grandeur of Darth Vader’s presence, crafted with incredible precision for collectors and fans alike. The weight and balance are ideal for display or light duelling, offering a realistic feel to match its cinematic accuracy.
Equipped with Xenopixel V3 electronics, this lightsaber includes a Neopixel blade, making it perfect for showcase and light duelling but not for heavy duelling. The 144-LED strip within the blade delivers vibrant illumination, realistic ignition effects, and dynamic blade styles. Additional features include 34 pre-installed sound fonts, smooth swing motion detection, multiple ignition modes, gesture controls, and a rechargeable lithium-ion battery. It also supports Bluetooth connectivity for customisation via the “XenoConfigurator” app on iOS and Android.
History
The EP5 version of Darth Vader’s lightsaber represents a critical era in his reign as the enforcer of the Emperor’s will. This hilt design became widely recognised during Vader’s pursuit of Luke Skywalker, including their legendary confrontation on Cloud City. Unlike the more industrial look of his earlier designs, the Episode V hilt introduced sleeker lines and refined control detailing—features that reflected his fully evolved Sith identity.
Crafted with the expertise of a Dark Lord and the remnants of a Jedi past, this saber became a symbol of fear and dominance across the galaxy. It was wielded not just in battle, but as a constant reminder of Anakin Skywalker’s fall and Darth Vader’s rise. This replica pays tribute to the enduring legacy of one of cinema’s most powerful and tragic villains, offering fans the chance to hold a piece of galactic history in their hands.
