Channel the full might of the Dark Side with this replica of Darth Vader’s Return of the Jedi lightsaber. Designed to match the iconic prop featured in Episode VI, this saber showcases the familiar black and silver hilt with a flat-top emitter, control box, and ridged grip. Every element has been crafted with attention to detail, delivering a screen-accurate experience ideal for collectors and fans alike.

Equipped with Proffie 2.2 electronics, this lightsaber offers extensive customisation, allowing users to modify sound fonts, ignition effects, and blade animations. The Neopixel blade provides ultra-bright illumination with dynamic effects such as scrolling ignition, flickering blade modes, and smooth colour transitions. While perfect for cosplay, display, and light duelling, the Neopixel blade is not intended for heavy-impact combat. Additional features include flash-on-clash effects for immersive battle realism, gesture controls for seamless operation, and a rechargeable lithium-ion battery for extended use.

History

The Darth Vader ROTJ lightsaber is the final iteration of the Sith Lord’s weapon as seen in the Original Trilogy. Compared to earlier versions, this design appears more refined and streamlined—likely due to prop updates during the filming of Return of the Jedi. It retains key elements from previous versions, such as the control box and black grips, but the emitter is flatter and features more polished detailing, giving it a unique presence.

This replica pays homage to that final chapter in Vader’s journey. While Luke seeks redemption, Vader’s crimson blade becomes a symbol of conflict, legacy, and sacrifice. For fans of the saga’s most iconic villain, this saber captures the exact look and feel of his Episode VI weapon, offering a collectible that honours his climactic moment of redemption and defeat.

Frequently Asked Questions

What’s the difference between the lightsaber versions?

There are 5 main types of lightsaber electronics:

  • RGB-X & S-RGB – These sabers illuminate the blade from the hilt and are built for durability, making them ideal for heavy-duelling. They come with a Baselit blade, which has no LEDs inside and looks best in dark environments.
  • Xenopixel V3 & SNV4 PRO – These lightsabers use Neopixel blades, which contain LEDs throughout the blade for brighter and more vibrant effects. They are not designed for heavy-duelling, but offer advanced visual effects and customisation.
  • Proffie 2.2 – A highly customisable lightsaber that also comes with a Neopixel blade. It allows advanced users to modify sound fonts, blade effects, ignition styles, and more through open-source software, making it ideal for those who want full control over their lightsaber’s performance.
Can you duel with the lightsabers?
  • RGB-X & S-RGB sabers with Baselit blades are designed for heavy-duelling.
  • Xenopixel, SNV4 PRO, and Proffie 2.2 sabers with Neopixel blades are best suited for showcase and light-duelling but should not be used for intense combat.

For heavy-duelling, we recommend going with a thick neck saber so the blade is better supported and less likely to become wobbly or snap.

Are Saber 66 Lightsabers and helmets replicas?

No – our lightsabers and helmets are in no way intended to be replicas. Size, materials, colours and design details are all inspired by officially licensed sabers, but they are not replicas.

Do the lightsabers support Bluetooth connectivity?
  • RGB-X and Xenopixel V3 support Bluetooth connectivity via the “XenoConfigurator” app on iOS and Android.
  • S-RGB and SNV4 PRO support Bluetooth connectivity via the “ForcePark V2” app on iOS and Android.
  • Proffie 2.2 does not have built-in Bluetooth functionality.
Do you offer a warranty on lightsabers?

Yes, all lightsabers come with a 1-year warranty, covering manufacturing defects and electronic malfunctions. If you encounter any issues within this period, please contact our support team for assistance. The warranty does not cover damage caused by misuse, modifications, or improper charging.

Do you offer replacement parts?

Yes, replacement blades, chargers, and other accessories are available for purchase separately. If there is a more specific part that needs changing, please contact out support team for assistance.

How do I recharge my lightsaber?

All lightsabers come with a rechargeable lithium-ion battery and a USB charging cable. It is recommended to use the provided charger and follow the charging instructions in the manual to prevent damage.
